The National Academy of Art and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute – Berlin continue their successful collaboration – a jury held a meeting on participants selection for a creative stay in the German capital.
The National Academy of Art and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin held a joint jury meeting for selecting of participants in artist residency, which for a second consecutive year provides an opportunity for alumni of the National Academy of Art to work and create on one of the most dynamic cultural scenes in Europe.
27 young artists, who have recently completed their studies at the Academy, applied for the two summer residency sessions, each with a duration of seven days. The selection was made by a joint jury of the National Academy of Art and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute – Berlin, which assessed the submitted projects in terms of artistic value, contemporary relevance and potential.
The approved participants for the creative stay at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute – Berlin are, as follows:

The initiative is being implemented with the support of Mr Borislav Petranov, Director of BCI – Berlin, whose vision for cultural dialogue and support for young artists transform this residency into a sustainable and inspiring platform. Due to him, the premises of the Institute are being established as an open stage for contemporary Bulgarian art, while the contact with the environment in Berlin opens up new horizons for creative growth.
The National Academy of Art continues to actively develop its network of international partnerships and programmes, which support the realisation of its current students and alumni in a global context. The opportunities for creative stays, exhibitions, professional meetings and exchanges are a core part of the Academy's mission to encourage young artists at the beginning of their professional journey.
To the selected participants, we wish inspiration and successful creative work!
