Charity event and exhibition in aid of the National High School of Applied Arts "Trevnenska shkola"

Students from the National Academy of Art, together with the Student Council, are organising a charity exhibition to raise funds in support of the National High School of Applied Arts "Trevnenska Shkola".
The exhibition will be open to the public until 16 May 2025, every day, from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
On 4 April 2025 in the evening, fire caused severe material damage to the building of the National High School of Applied Arts "Trevnenska Shkola". It destroyed the roof and part of the top floor, whereas the extinguishing process also led to serious damage to the school's technical base. The initiative aims to draw public attention to the needs of the high school and to help raise funds for the rapid restoration of the educational process.
Participation regulations
Each artist can participate with one main work created for exhibiting (graphics artworks, drawings, photographs and posters must be framed). Upon request, up to three smaller accompanying works (such as prints, impressions, small sculptures, book editions, etc.) can be provided, which will be exhibited separately. Recommended maximum dimensions for the main work:
– Painting: up to 120/90 cm;
– Graphics: up to 100/70 cm;
– Sculpture: up to 120/120/80 cm;
– Drawing: up to 100/70 cm;
– Illustration, poster, photography, book edition;
– Other media.
In the event of a large number of participants, the exhibition will be updated daily according to a previously announced programme within the five-day duration of the exhibition.
The artists themselves determine the prices of their works, taking into account that the entire amount from their sales will be donated for the cause.
Each participant will receive a certificate of donation and participation in the charity exhibition.
Deadlines
– Acceptance of works: 7, 8 and 9 May 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at the Student Council's office (2nd floor, Red Building, National Academy of Art, 1 Shipka Street);
– Exhibition opening: 12 May 2025 (Monday), 5:00 pm, Hall 5th floor, National Academy of Art;
– Return of unsold works: Artists should collect their unsold works within two days after the exhibition closes (until 18 May 2025 inclusive) from the Student Council's office.
