Exhibitions of the Class of 2025 alumni from the National Academy of Art

The National Academy of Art is presenting 22 exhibitions with the works of its BA and MA alumni from 20th June to 30th July 2025.
 
For the third consecutive year, the Academy will make Sofia the epicentre of the large-scale project EXHIBITIONS OF THE CLASS OF 2025 ALUMNI FROM THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF ART.
 
Within 38 days, 22 exhibitions presenting the graduation works and projects of over 200 students from all the departments (Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes) at the National Academy of Art will be opened in 14 galleries in Sofia, Bankya and Burgas.
 
This annual initiative, whose tradition is rooted in the first years of the State School of Drawing, implemented jointly with a number of prestigious galleries and cultural spaces, is a strong start for Bulgaria's young talents, and renders unique diversity and dynamics to the cultural life in the capital city .
 
The BA and MA alumni–Class of 2025–from the National Academy of Art are presenting their works and projects created by use of classical and innovative approaches, various means of expression, techniques and mediums – from fine and applied arts to design, from restoration to digital arts and photography!
 
"Exhibitions of the Class of 2025 Alumni from the National Academy of Art" is not just a series of exhibitions, but a large-scale cultural event, which provides an opportunity for art lovers to get acquainted with  the pursuits and achievements of the new generation of Bulgarian artists. The project encourages cooperation between cultural institutions and academic communities, strengthening the Academy's role in the art education and development of the visual environment in Bulgaria.
 
The project "Exhibitions of the Class of 2025 Alumni from the National Academy of Art" in Sofia is implemented with the financial support of the Culture Programme of Sofia City Municipality for Year 2025.

The exhibitions of alumni from the National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch are realised with the assistance of the Burgas Municipality and the Sea Casino Cultural Center.
 
What to expect?
 
From 23rd June to 7th July, a joint exhibition Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Design of alumni from various departments of the Academy will be arranged at the Art Center BANKYA.
 
The innovative projects of the alumni from the Department of Industrial Design will be exhibited from 24th June to 7th July in the Crystal Garden open-air gallery.
 
From 25th June to 10th July, the SEA CASINO Cultural Center – Burgas will present exhibitions of alumni from the National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch – the Department of Painting, the Department of Printmaking, the Department of Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics, the Department of Poster and Visual Communication, and the Department of Fashion Design.
 
ACADEMIA Gallery of the National Academy of Art will host 4 impressive exhibitions of the Department of Design in Advertising (26–30 June), the Department of Scenography and the Master's degree programme in Scenography for Cinema and TV (2–7 July), the Department of Metal and the Department of Poster and Visual Communication (9–19 July), and the Master's degree programme in Automotive Design (21–30 July).
 
nOVA art space will present from 1st to 10th July works of alumni from the Department of Sculpture and the Department of Painting.
 
DOM concept space will show the achievements of MA graduates, Master's degree programmes in Visual Communication and in Poster in the period 3–20 July.
 
UNICREDIT STUDIO supports young artists from the National Academy of Art by providing them with the opportunity to realise solo exhibitions. In July (4–25 July) the Studio will present Bogdan Bogdanov – MA graduate, Master's degree programme in Painting.
 
The symbiosis between the projects of alumni from the Department of Fashion Design and the Master's degree programme in Digital Arts will be shown in the gallery space at the TRIANGULAR TOWER OF SERDIKA.
 
GRAPHICART Gallery will present to the audience the graduation works of students from the Department of Printmaking from 10th to 20th July.
 
Traditionally, in Halls 1B and 1C of the Shipka 6 Gallery at Union of Bulgarian Artists, will be presented exhibitions of alumni – from the Department of Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics and the Department of Mural Painting from 14th to 20th July, and from 22nd to 30th July – from the Sub-Department of Ceramics, the Sub-Department of Porcelain and Glass Design, the Department of Design for Children's Environment, and the Master's degree programmes in Computer Games, in Children's Environment – Interior, and in Play Equipment.
 
From 14th to 30th July, ONE Gallery will give the opportunity to look through the lens of the MA graduates, Master's degree programme in Photography.
 
INTRO Gallery will present the diploma projects of the MA graduates in Graphic Design and Illustration from 15th to 21st July, and from 24th to 30th July – the results of the young restorers from the Academy.
 
From 15th to 30th July, CONTRAST Gallery will exhibit the paintings of the MA graduates in Painting.
 
The creative solutions of the MA graduates in Textile Art and Design and their colleagues from the Department of Woodcarving will be on display from 16th to 30th July at the SAN STEFANO Gallery.
 
From 24th July to 30th August, the diploma projects of the BA alumni from the Department of Textile – Art and Design will be exhibited at the CREDO BONUM Gallery.
