Students from the National Academy of Art created logo designs for the Burgas ports of Sarafovo, Kraimorie and Chengene Skele

Students from the Department of Poster and Visual Communication at the National Academy of Art – Sofia and its Burgas Branch created logo designs for the Burgas ports of Sarafovo, Kraimorie and Chengene Skele. The undertaking is related to the idea of the Mayor of Burgas Municipality Dimitar Nikolov.
After the competition (in the form of educational assignment) held among the 2nd-year and 3rd-year students from the Department, a logo was selected, which will be developed into visual identity of the three ports. Upon reviewing the 28 educational project proposals created under the guidance of Prof. Georgi Iankov, Assoc. Prof. Nenko Atanasov, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Georgi Pavlov, PhD, and Asst. Prof. Zhivka Raykova, the Municipality of Burgas authorities announced the following laureates:
Ashkan Sedat, National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch (cash prize amount of BGN 1,500)
1st place and realisation
Alexandra Vutova, National Academy of Art – Sofia (cash prize amount of BGN 800);
2nd place
Yana Baltadzhieva, National Academy of Art – Sofia (cash prize amount of BGN 500)
3rd place
The newly created logo will be included in all advertising materials and will improve the overall appearance of each of the three Burgas ports. The successfully finalised competition is yet another productive collaboration between the Municipality of Burgas and the National Academy of Art, in which the students have actively participated.
