The Polish Institute in Sofia, together with the branch of the National Academy of Art in Burgas, present the documentary exhibition and reproductions TAMARA ŁEMPICKA – THE QUEEN OF ART DECO, which celebrates the life and work of one of the most important representatives of the Art Deco aesthetics.
The exhibition, including 20 panels, provides information about the biography of this most recognisable artist of the 1920s and 1930s, whose paintings today are sold for millions of dollars. The remaining part of the exhibition–17 panels–are reproductions of her most famous works accompanied by a short commentary.
