Ten students from the National Academy of Art received awards from the competition organised by the Board of Trustees

On 15 April 2025, an exhibition of the nominated students, who had participated in the competition for the Awards of the Board of Trustees of the National Academy of Art, was opened at the San Stefano Gallery in Sofia.
 
In 2025, the Board of Trustees of the National Academy of Art established nine awards of BGN 2,000 each for students at the National Academy of Art for achievements in the field of fine and applied arts, design, theory and history of art, and restoration. Students from all departments and courses of study at the Academy were eligible to participate in the competition. They had to submit their own freestyle works, designs or projects for evaluation. 47 students from different departments took part in the competition, of which 30 were nominated.
 
As per the competition regulations, the committee selected the winners and decided, due to equal score from the vote, to grant an award to one more of the participants. The award is presented on behalf of the National Academy of Art.
 
During the exhibition opening, the Rector of the Academy Prof. Georgi Iankov and Margarita Mladenova, Chairperson of the Apollonia Foundation announced the names of the award winners and presented them with certificates for participation in the competition.
