The Dream as Reality will present artworks by students from the Departments of Painting, of Printmaking, of Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics, and of Poster and Visual Communication at the National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch.

As part of an annual student initiative launched in 2024, the exhibition presents the audience with current questions and problems, which the young artists find exciting. The students are also actively involved in outlining the concept and prepraring the exhibition project–activities, that go beyond work in the studios and creation of the artwork itself, and build valuable experience toward growth as professional artists.

In 2024, the exhibition Evolution 6 was focused on the six abstract categories of the physical and emotional development of the individual and the nature – from womb to death. A year later, the young artists explored the paradox of the beginning, not as a specific starting point, but as an endless process, with the artistic results were shown in the exhibition The Beginning as Infinity.

In 2026, the artists' attention is on the figure of the artist and the fruit of their work in the "waking dream" of everyday life, their development and self-knowledge. The Dream as Reality is a product of the students' inspiration by ongoing everyday life, the sea, the cycle of emotions and experiences, their development as individuals and artists. The educational and freestyle artworks cover a wide spectrum of visual arts–painting, printmaking, illustration, poster and collage.
