The National Academy of Art and the Bulgarian Red Cross are presenting an exhibition of student posters on the occasion of World First Aid Day

An exhibition of 29 works selected after holding the Providing First Aid poster competition organised by the National Academy of Art and the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC), will be opened on 13 September 2025 (Saturday) – World First Aid Day, at 10:30 am in an open-air gallery in the park outside the National Palace of Culture (the alley leading to Cinema Cabana).
The exhibition gives the audience the opportunity to be acquainted with the creative vision of young artists who drew their inspiration from saving human lives.
Students from the Department of Poster and Visual Communication at the National Academy of Art in Sofia and its Burgas Branch took part in the poster competition. They had attended a training course specially organised for them by Bulgarian Red Cross volunteers and representatives. Also, various first aid techniques were demonstrated during the training sessions.
The event is part of a joint initiative of the Bulgarian Red Cross and the National Academy of Art within the framework of the partnership agreement between the two institutions. The competition aim is to raise the public awareness of the first aid importance as a vital activity in any crisis situation and one of the key activities of the International Red Cross Movement.
