The Sofia City Day initiatives are organised on the basis of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Sofia City Municipality and the art academies – the National Academy of Art, the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” and the National Academy of Theater and Film “Krustyo Sarafov”.
The main objectives of the Memorandum provide an opportunity to create joint activities and educational programmes aimed at promoting the art of young contemporary artists, developing new art spaces, as well as establishing Sofia as a cultural capital – a creative and educational centre.
