The Rector of the National Academy of Art had a meeting with the Director General of Cité internationale des arts, Paris

Prof. Georgi Iankov, Rector of the National Academy of Art, welcomed to the National Academy of Art Ms Benedictе Alliot, Director General of the Cité internationale des arts, Paris, who is in Bulgaria with regards to the professional relations of the Cité internationale des arts with the Bulgarian partners.
 
The meeting took place at the Academia Gallery, where the exhibition From the Atelier by Emil Stoychev is currently displayed. The meeting was attended by Edouard Morneau, Cultural Cooperation Attaché, and Blaga Delcheva, Project Associate from the French Institute in Bulgaria. As representatives of the National Academy of Art, attendees were also Svilena Mateeva, Director of Education, Projects and International Activities, Assoc. Prof. Vasil Kolev, PhD, Head of the Department of Printmaking and of Exhibition Activities at the National Academy of Art, and Didi Spasova, Head of Public Relations.
 
Prof. Iankov presented a number of creative initiatives, the Burgas Branch and the latest national and international projects of the Academy.
 
At the meeting, a number of new opportunities for the students and the teachers at the National Academy of Art with regards to the option for artistic stay in the Academy's studio in Paris were discussed. The Academy has its own studio in the Cité internationale des аrts, where professional artists–teachers, PhD students and MA students–can stay as artists-in-residence.
 
As an expression of respect, the Rector of the  National Academy presented Ms Benedicte Alliot with a selected graphic artwork by a student from the  Department of Printmaking, publications from the Museum Collection and an anniversary badge of the Academy. Mr Morneau was presented with original ceramic tiles from the North Building of the National Academy of Art, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century.
