The students of the Department of Industrial Design at the National Academy of Art received the greatest number of awards in the twelfth edition of the Bulgarian Furniture of the Year National Competition. The jury of the 2026 competition granted 9 awards to students of the Department of Industrial Design, and the Academy itself received a certificate for the organisation "Most Active Participant". This year's edition was marked by the new category "From Idea to Implementation" with a focus on the theme "Big Ideas for Small Spaces", providing young designers with the opportunity to turn their projects into real prototypes.
