Asst. Dr. Veliko Marinchevski from the National Academy of Art was elected Vice Chairman of the International Printmaking Organization Alliancе - IPOA, China

Asst. Dr. Veliko Marinchevski participated in the seventh edition of Guanlan Forum and in session of the International Printmaking Organization Alliancе - IPOA, China. After the 2021 Forum, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Alliance -- an organisation, whose members are almost all the national academise of art in Europe, museums, art galleries, printmaking art residences from all continents. 

Over the years, Veliko Marinchevski has participated in several editions of the international printmaking forum and has made presentations on and supported the so-far successful collaboration in the field of fine arts between Bulgaria and China. This year’s topic was "Persisting and Beholding - the Succession and Exchange of Printmaking under the Pandemic". He made a presentation on the 125th anniversary of the National Academy of Art (history, structure, present situation within the context of the topic, his exchange mobility under the Erasmus+ programme – the first of its kind at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, the curator exhibition "Interlocution – Printmaking in Central and Eastern Europe” at the Chinese Printmaking Museum and the content of his doctoral thesis: “Printmaking Since the Beginning of the XXI Century Within the Context of the Chinese Cultural Strategy”. 

More information about Guanlan Forum 2021 and International Printmaking Organization Alliance

The seventh edition of Guanlan Forum (Shenzhen) was held online between September 23rd and September 25th. Guanlan Forum has been a permanent project for academic exchange of the Chinese Printmaking Museum since 2014. The Forum invites influential curators, art experts and professors from academies of art, the management of famous printmaking studios and art galleries, established artists and award winners. The International Printmaking Organization Alliancе - IPOA holds debates within the framework of the forum. The Forum and the Alliance have been initiated due to the need for reinforcing the cooperation and communication among artists and institutions related to printmaking all over the world via combining strengths and influences. The Alliance’s aim is to create an international platform for printmaking of the highest standard, to present and integrate, to service artists better, in more comprehensive areas, at deeper levels, as well as to encourage the prosperity and development of the cause of international printmaking. The Alliance was established on 11 May 2016 at the Chinese Printmaking Museum. Professor Ingrid Ledend with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp was elected chairman. Professor Kang Jianfei of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing was appointed general secretary. Conferences were held in May 2017, 2018, and 2019. The topic of the last two conferences was “Win-Win Cooperation – One Belt, One Road”.
