Christo Javacheff – Christo on a recently released postage stamp designed by an alumna of the National Academy of Art

In 2020, the Central Post Office in Sofia released the first issues of a postage stamp "85 Years since the Birth of Christo Javacheff" (a stamp block) and a special postage seal. The stamp depicts Christo - the renowned artist of Bulgarian descent - wrapping himself.
The artist who designed the issues is Mihaela Karadzhova – an alumna of the National Academy of Art, BA in Poster and Visual Communication and MA in Illustration, who studied at the Department of Poster and Visual Communication and at the Department of Book, Illustration and Printed Graphics.
The young illustrator was invited and commissioned to design the postage stamp and seal by the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications.
