Exhibition catalogue accompanying the exhibition "Dante and Visions of the Afterlife among the South Slavs" is to be presented
The catalogue will be presented in Academia Gallery on 17 December 2021 (Friday), 4:00pm. Participants in the event will be the exhibition curator Prof. Aksinia Dzhurova and the artists, whose artworks are exhibited – Emanuela Kovach, Dimo Kolibarov, Zhivko Mutafchiev, Onnik Karanfilyan, Branko Nikolov, Lyudmil Georgiev, Vasil Kolev - Vassillo and Veselin Damyanov - Ves. In dedication to the text and the figure of Dante, the graphic artists have created their own plastic interpretations of their impression of this responsible meeting.
Academia Gallery at the National Academy of Art is currently hosting the exhibition "Dante and Visions of the Afterlife among the South Slavs", courtesy of the Italian Cultural Institute, Center for Slavic-Byzantine Studies "Prof. Ivan Duychev ”, Elena and Ivan Duychevi Foundation, and Graphicart Gallery.
The project is part of the celebration activities on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death. It is also a significant example of the intercultural relations between Italy and Bulgaria.
