Fourth International Interdisciplinary Conference "Text and Image"
2026.09.10
10–11 September 2026
Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, Sofia
The Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA) is hosting the Fourth Interdisciplinary International Conference "Text and Image," taking place on 10–11 September 2026.
The academic forum establishes a shared space for dialogue between researchers and artists, dedicated to the points of intersection between various arts and humanities areas. The discussions once again are centred on interdisciplinary and intermedial approaches to the dynamic relationship between the written word and the visual image—a perspective, which opens up new horizons regarding contemporary aesthetic and cultural processes.
The conference is co-organised by the project partners NATFA, the National Academy of Art, the Institute of Art Studies and the Institute of Literature at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), New Bulgarian University, the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov," and the Prof. Assen Diamandiev Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts.
