The exhibition Peace as an Object – From Invisible To Visible includes works by students and lecturers from the Department of Sculpture at the National Academy of Art. The project manager is Assoc. Prof. Tsvetoslav Hristov.

This exposition presents the artists' position and reflects on the contemporary world situation of military actions and conflicts. The project aims to bring to the forefront the issue of peace as visible and invisible traces in the contemporary society, and to emphasise its necessity for the existence of humanity.

Art in the face of war, from the artists' perspective, is a reflection of the violence, the cost for humans and the hope for peace. Through the expressive means of sculpture, the participants recreate their own views on the basic universal human values and messages. The exhibition is an invitation to the audience to think about the need for peace as fundamental for human relationships in contemporary society.

Peace as an Object – From Invisible To Visible is part of the project "Art for Peace – Invisible, Visible Traces" of the Department of Sculpture and is realised on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the State Cultural Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the 130th anniversary of the National Academy of Art.
