"Plastic Art of Wood" plein air in the village of Novi han
In the village of Novi han, from 21 September to 5 October 2020, the students Ivana Topalova, Tsvetina Geneva, Lazar Mitrev, and Stefan Kuzev, all specialising in Woodcarving, attended the plein air "Plastic Art of Wood". It was organised by the municipal authorities of Novi han, with the support of the artist Dimitar Mitrev and Prof. Valentin Lilov, the project manager. During the plein air, the students designed and made wood sculptures - benches and climbing frames - to be used on the playground in the village park.
The students' work enjoyed the great interest of Novi han residents and of both the municipal authorities of Elin Pelin and Novi han, which preconditioned a longer-term cooperation in the field of woodcarving in the open areas around the region.
