Results from the 2025 Educational Drawing, Sketch and Freestyle Work Competition in the name of Dr. Kanev and Dr. Zhelyazkov

On 12 May 2025, the official awarding of the winners in the 21st edition of the Educational Drawing, Sketch and Freestyle Work Competition supported by Dr. Kanev and Dr. Zhelyazkov took place at the Academia Gallery of the National Academy of Art for students from the Department of Painting, the Department of Sculpture and the Department of Printmaking at the National Academy of Art in Sofia and the National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch.
The commission members from the National Academy of Art–Prof. Dessislava Mincheva, Chair, Prof. Ivaylo Mirchev, Prof. Stanislav Pamukchiev, Prof. Lyubomir Karaleev, Prof. Svetozar Benchev, Prof. Ivan Slavov, Prof. Valentin Gospodinov, Asst. Prof. Emanuela Kovach–and Dr. Antaliy Kanev, competition sponsor, reviewed the students' works and determined this year's winners.
Scholarships in the name of Dr. Kanev and Dr. Zhelyazkov for 2025 were granted to the students:
Samuil Georgiev, 2nd year, Bachelor's degree programme in Painting
Aleksandra Nikolova, 1st year, Master's degree programme in Painting
Aleksandar Cholakov, 3rd year, Bachelor's degree in Printmaking
In addidtion, the competition sponsors decided to buy works by the students:
