SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE "DESIGN & APPLIED ARTS" 2025

Organised by the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design at the National Academy of Art, the scientific conference "Design & Applied Arts" is a forum established over the years and providing an opportunity for exchange and cooperation in the field of arts, science, and art education.
The conference aims to continue and build on the creative pursuits and the relationship between the academic community and professionals, between researchers and doctoral students, and covers a wide range of topics:
– Theory and history of design and applied arts;
– Research in the field of design;
– Applied arts – theory and practice;
– New technologies and materials in applied arts and design;
– Educational aspects in applied arts and design;
– Design thinking, design culture;
– Innovative strategies and styles in the practice and theory of design and applied arts.
Working languages: Bulgarian and English
Participation requirements
– Applications for participation (please follow the link to Registration Form) and a short abstract in English (up to 300 words) are accepted until 25 February 2025;
– Authors of approved reports will receive confirmation of participation by 26 February 2025;
– The full text of the papers and confirmation of payment must be sent by 1 March 2025 to the following email address: konferenzija_2025@abv.bg
Participation fees
– Participation with one paper: BGN 60
– Participation with two papers: BGN 100
The full text of the papers will be published in the series DESIGN & APPLIED ARTS published by the National Academy of Art as part of the National Reference List of Contemporary Bulgarian Scientific Publications with Scientific Review.
