The Museum Collection of the National Academy of Art has its own logo now

2020.09.12

On the initiative of Chief Asst. Prof. Nenko Atanasov, PhD, lecturer at Department Poster and Visual Communication, based on the graphic design project he has proposed, the Museum Collection of the National Academy of Art has its own logo created.

The Museum Collection, a separate cultural unit within the Academy’s structure, with almost 125-year history, deserves to have its own visual sign which has the graphical and content characteristics, and figurative relation of the Academy’s official logo.

The graphic symbols embody the spirit, richness, diversity and uniqueness of the Collection. They also bear visual and emotional connection to the prototype of the Academy’s popular emblem designed by Prof. Todor Vardzhiev. The logo depicts the "museum" of the Academy as a treasure trove of the rich heritage of the fine arts Alma Mater in Bulgaria, which houses one of the first cultural collections in our post-Liberation history.

The motives for realising this idea were only in favour of promoting the identity of the Museum Collection, whereupon all the activities of designing the logo were entirely voluntary.
