Department Fashion Design
Studies at the department prepare specialists in the field of clothing design–designing of production and unique collections and accessories, as well as forecasting of trends in fashion design.
Fashion designer artists professionally realise themselves by creating fashion collections. They develop the projects and participate in their implementation.
BA artists alumni of the Department of Fashion are also acquainted with general academic disciplines–Drawing, Colour Studies, History of Art, History of Clothing, and others.
The goal of the educational and qualification Master's degree programme is qualified preparation of the students in the fashion industry, and assisting them in the design and implementation of their own projects in the field of fashion design.
The students specialise in designing collections through direct participation in the process of producing them in the form of mastering technical skills for the creation of their own constructive solutions, mastering CAD-CAM–systems for cutting and grading patterns, and being acquainted with new processes and technologies in the industrial production. The alumni of the department can work in the design units of the manufacturing companies, be members of the management teams of consulting and advertising structures, be art directors, visual arts experts, and others.
